I went on a lovely tour public 'Jewish Prenzlauer Berg tour.' It was most informative in a lovely story-telling way - rather than being overwhelmed by facts as many tour guides do! Shlomit is clearly not only highly knowledgeable but also most charming, down-to-earth, and approachable.

The tour was a really good length - both time and distance - so in this sense too, highly enjoyable.

I definitely recommend her and looking forward to joining more of her tours!

In July 2016 Shlomit led my husband and me on a fantastic 6-hour expedition through Berlin to capture the essence of Jewish life from pre-1933 to the present. When we visited neighborhoods where Jews had lived and worked in the early 20th century, Shlomit pointed out memorial plaques on poles and walls that we might not have noticed had we been sightseeing on our own (as we often do). She was always very responsive to our preferences - including joining us for lunch where we asked her a variety of questions about Jewish life in Berlin today. At the end of the afternoon, we followed Shlomit suggestions for several additional sights that we still had time to visit that day.

I feel confident in recommending Shlomit as a tour guide. I only wish that we had taken the tour earlier in our Berlin visit (as Shlomit recommended) so that we could have done more of the things she suggested. She responded to our emails quickly and professionally, taking our preferences into account. I loved that she came with a binder containing photos and articles to supplement what we were seeing -- also that she enjoyed seeing my photos from our previous visit to Berlin in 1997 Very quickly after meeting Shlomit, she seemed like a friend showing us around her city.

Thanks to Shlomit, we had a very good visit to Berlin in June 2016. She was a terrific tour guide and was well informed about Berlin history. When we made changes to the itinerary, Shlomit was very flexible in accommodating the changes. We toured with her on 2 separate days, seeing many points of interest (Berlin wall, Brandenburg gates, Jewish cemeteries and memorials, Checkpoint Charlie, Neighborhood walks, etc.). She was well prepared and thoughtful. On the first day, she hired a driver for us and it was raining that day. They were prepared and provided us with extra umbrellas when we visited the Brandenburg gates. On another occasion, at a Jewish cemetery, we were required to cover our heads, so she provided hats/headcoverings for us. We would highly recommend Shlomit for Berlin tours.

When I heard we had a three hour bus ride from our cruise ship to Berlin and a three hour bus ride to return to the ship on the first stop of the cruise, I did not know how I was going to keep my husband happy.

We were lucky that we were able to spend our time in Berlin with Shlomit.  She is a warm and knowledgable woman who adapted our tour to our interests. We had a wonderful day, learned a lot and used our short time wisely in Berlin. My husband is still talking about his day in Berlin and never once complained about the long bus rides.

Thank you Shlomit for making us both happy.

Berlin was a destination we planned for a while, and although we are independent travelers, we decided to hire a guide because we wanted to visit neighborhoods which are not on the tourist routes.  Shlomit was the perfect guide for us. She knows the city and its history very well.  We were interested in seeing as much as we could.  She knows the fastest way to get from one point to another by train or by foot, explaining the neighborhoods and their history and where we can find the best ethnic food.

Her recommendations of other places to visit, books to read and entertainment were very valuable. She enhanced out experience with her knowledge and friendly personality.

Shlomit Lasky is a wonderful, very well informed guide who is able to make Berlin and it’s history come alive.

Shlomit is able to convey the complexity of Berlin’s ancient and immediate past and multicultural present time.

We first went on a most fascinating walking tour of Berlin, covering neighborhoods in both formerly East and also West Berlin. We navigated the public transportation system and Shlomit made us feel like real Berliners.

She was a terrific guide for our group of four to Potsdam, Sans Souci and Wannsee. She was full of fascinating anecdotes, and insights of these important historic landmarks, always willing and able to answer all our questions.

We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, I will recommend her to anyone I know traveling to Berlin.
